This style of folk song orginating from the region of XiengKhouang, in Laos. In Green Mong it is known as "lug txaj moob xeev”.

Lug txaj/kwv txhiaj will always reference a specific audience in the beginning of the song to note acknowledgement of its listen. Thus, if it was a courting song, this will be replace with "txiv leej tub" or "nam leej ntxhais" to reference the other partner.
